New Paper Published!

The Heit lab, as part of a study led by Dr. Jane Rylett, has just published a paper on the cellular signalling involved in the cellular processes involved in Alzhimers disease.  This study utilized a novel method of measuring protein distributions in super-resolution images developed in our lab. Winick-Ng W, Caetano FA, Winick-Ng J, Morey TM, […]

New Paper Published

The Heit lab, along with our collaborators in the Ferguson lab, have published a new study today in the journal Cell Signalling. This paper investigates the processes by which the internalization of a neurological receptor – CRFR1 – is regulated. This regulatory process may be important, and improper CRFR1 regulation is associated with some forms of metal illness.

Super-Resolution Imaging Paper Published

Today, PLoS Computational Biology has published our study, in which we developed a series of analytical routines for the analysis of molecular interactions in super-resolution microscopy images. These analyses include methods to quantify intermolecular interactions and the formation of larger molecular complexes. This was a large project, involving collaborations across multiple faculties at Western University.
