The Heit Lab at CSI 2016

Several members of the Heit lab represented the Western University at the 2016 annual meeting of the Canadian Society for Immunology. This was an exciting opportunity to see several world-leaders in the immunology field and to present our research to the Canadian immunology community. Our work was well received, with Jack Blackburn receiving the BioLegend Poster Award for his work on CD93.

MIiSR Update

We have released a minor update to our MIiSR super-resolution image analysis software. This update fixes one minor issue with the conversion of files from a Zeiss ELYRA microscope. The update (Version 1.0.1) can be downloaded from our MIiSR Software Download Page.

New Paper Published

The Heit lab, along with our collaborators in the Ferguson lab, have published a new study today in the journal Cell Signalling. This paper investigates the processes by which the internalization of a neurological receptor – CRFR1 – is regulated. This regulatory process may be important, and improper CRFR1 regulation is associated with some forms of metal illness.
